Russian conductor Mikhail Pletnev appeared in court Monday in Thailand where he has been charged with raping a teenage boy.
Pletnev, artistic director of the Russian National Orchestra, dismissed speculation he might jump bail. He returned to Thailand over the weekend after being allowed to leave the country temporarily to attend a music festival in Macedonia.
"I say again these allegations are not true," he said, adding that police had found no incriminating images on his computer.
The conductor and pianist was charged in early July with the rape of a 14-year-old boy in Pattaya, where he has a house.

Switzerland declared Roman Polanski a free man Monday after rejecting a request to extradite the film director to the United States to answer for a child sex case dating back more than three decades.
Some 10 months after Polanski's dramatic arrest in Zurich, Swiss Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said Washington accepted Bern's move to block the extradition, as his lawyer claimed the Oscar winner still hoped one day to return to the United States.
Widmer-Schlumpf said the decision came after the US justice department failed to provide records of a hearing in which Polanski claimed his case had been settled and sentence agreed.
"In these circumstances it is not possible to exclude with the necessary certainty that Roman Polanski has already served the sentence he was condemned to at the time and that the extradition request is undermined by a serious fault,'' the minister said.

Activists voiced concern yesterday that a famous Russian pianist and conductor arrested in Pattaya this week for alleged child-sex offences may flee and not return after a court allowed him bail and permission to travel overseas.
Mikhail Vasillievich Pletnev - a Grammy award winner and founder of the Russian National Orchestra - was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old Thai boy who stayed at one of his homes in the beachside resort.
Pletnev's whereabouts are now unknown since a court allowed him to be released yesterday on a bail guarantee of Bt300,000.
The Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported that the internationally acclaimed musician had been allowed to leave the country after vowing to return in 12 days.
"There was a court ruling. The court allowed Mikhail Pletnev to leave the country on condition of an extra bail and bound him to show up in court on July 18," Andrei Dvornikov, head of the embassy's consular department, was quoted as telling Russia 24 TV, Itar-Tass said.

Yet the World Cup and its vuvuzela-sound tracked drama hides a darker, more sordid game. While the footballers were in training, the country’s sex industry was gearing up for the influx of visitors, trafficking woman and girls into city brothels to meet the expected demand.
Sex trafficking is a problem worldwide, an estimated 1.2million children and young people are trafficked annually, becoming victims of sexual exploitation and abuse.
It happens in every country, from the richest to the poorest, but South Africa’s laws make it particularly hard to prosecute those involved. There has been an anti-trafficking bill on the books for five years, but it has yet to be made into law.
The Body Shop is launching a petition on July 15 in conjunction with ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and the Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) to raise awareness of the problem.
