The ECPAT International Board is composed of eight regional representatives from all continents, together with an independent Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Youth representative (elected from the ECPAT International Child and Youth Advisory Committee). They are elected at the International Assembly and normally serve for a three year period or until the next scheduled Assembly, whichever is earlier. The responsibility and authority for the implementation of all the decisions of the International Assembly are bestowed upon the Board.

Article 3 of the ECPAT International Constitution addresses all matters related to the functions and duties of the Board, as well as nomination and voting procedures.
